Reddit users broadly agree that McDonald's has become too expensive for its quality, with many shifting to alternatives like Hungry Jack's. Several commenters note that the only remaining value is through app deals or specific items like the McSmart meal, which is reportedly being discontinued at the end of June.

Maccas is only really worth it when you can get a good deal in the app, or buy something like the mcsmart meal for $7 which gets you 2 burgers, fries and a drink. Paying full price for any standard meals is never worth it.

We gravitate towards Hungry Jacks for fast food nowadays, still expensive but the portion and taste is still there, unlike Maccas and the others.

HJ has the best fast food burger. McDonald’s breakfast McMuffin and nuggets are the only thing worth going for these days. I can’t even remember the last time I’ve been
