The strings are normal they just show more when you peel fron the top. Peel if from the bottom and they stay on the peel much better.

I'm curious though. I've never let a banana brown for this long, usually still some yellow and the banana inside still looks like a banana. However, I'll go to peel it and there will be unnatural strings (thin, hair like) and I will end up tossing it because...

One of my favorite gifs is a monkey peeling a banana, trying to unstring it, and getting one of the strings stuck to his hand. The look of disgust til he gets it off and goes back to unstringing it.. so good
